Painting Tool

Use Steam screenshots as paint-study references: identify dominant colors, pattern breaks, pose shape, and seeker tells.

Quick Answer

Use the Painting Tool page as a paint-study workflow: choose a screenshot, sample the dominant wall or prop colors, match pose geometry, then test whether the disguise survives Hider and Seeker checks in a real lobby.

Paint-study workflow

Start from a map screenshot, pick the exact zone where your body would stand, and identify three values: base color, shadow color, and the strongest pattern break. This keeps painting practical during the short Hider setup window.

Pose before detail

A believable pose beats perfect color. If the body outline does not match the wall art, shelf, prop, or corner geometry, Seekers will notice even when the color is close.

Hider test

After painting, ask whether the spot survives a normal sweep path, a close wall check, and a second angle. If it fails any one of those checks, mark it as risky for larger lobbies.

Seeker counter test

Every paint idea should include a counter: look for mismatched scale, repeated objects that break pattern, floating shadows, or a body edge that does not belong to the environment.

Paint-study checklist

  1. Pick the screenshot zone where the body outline would naturally belong.
  2. Sample one base color, one shadow color, and one pattern interruption.
  3. Match pose geometry before spending time on detail paint.
  4. Check whether the spot works in 2-4, 5-7, or 8-10 player lobbies.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best way to paint in Meccha Chameleon? +

Match the largest visible color first, then add one shadow or pattern break. A clean silhouette matters more than tiny detail.

Should I copy the background exactly? +

No. Copy enough color and shape to pass a moving Seeker scan. Over-detailing can waste the hiding timer.

Which screenshots should I study first? +

Start with Mansion Gallery, Indoor Country, Cold Storage, and Brick Loft because they show clear wall, prop, shadow, and shelf hiding logic.

How do Seekers counter painted Hiders? +

Seekers compare object scale, pose logic, repeated props, and edges where the body shape breaks the scene.

Does this page replace in-game testing? +

No. It gives a repeatable study workflow, but each hiding spot still needs lobby-size and map-route testing.
